Wildlife news from Rawcliffe Meadows from 24th August 2012: Up to 3 Grey Partridges were in the Cornfield in spring but there was no evidence of breeding. Oystercatcher and Little Ringed Plover made brief appearances on the flooded pools in spring. No Skylarks or Meadow Pipits on the Cornfield or on Clifton Ings this summer but Reed Warblers bred successfully at the main pond (southern end of Rawcliffe Meadows) and a pair of Sparrowhawks fledged at least one youngster in the mini-copse  adjoining Blue Beck.
