The Conservation Foundation`s Great British Elm Experiment is an exciting project. They hope to determine whether saplings from parent trees, that have survived Dutch Elm disease, have built up resistance.
We can buy 20 saplings grown at Thorpe Trees and hope to plant them on December 2nd.
On Sunday November 4th, our next work day, we shall prepare the areas of the copse for these new trees.
Please meet at the copse 10.30am to 1pm and bring gloves, loppers, and spade or fork if possible.
