Snowdrops in the Body Shop Copse

The Rawcliffe Meadows work party in the Body Shop Copse on Sunday 20th January 2013 was successfull in clearing a number of small trees and bushes at the front to start the creation of a ‘woodland edge’ structure rather than the dense, uniform structure it had grown into in the years since it’s creation. What it did reveal was a couple of patches of snowdrops that had avoided the snow and cold in the dense undergrowth. There were also numerous rabbit holes confirmed by the thousands of rabbit footmarks splaying in and out of the copse.
