Apollo Festival – no access from Rawcliffe Meadows

The Apollo Festival is being held on Saturday 29th June 2013 on the York Sports Club, Clifton Park, Shipton Road, York.

Please be aware that there is no access to the site from Rawcliffe Meadows.

There have been conversations with the organiser and security staff and barriers will prevent access in and out from the area of the festival.

The Friends of Rawcliffe Meadows will be preparing for the hay crop to be harvested after 1st July, and wish to avoid trampling of the meadow areas to maximise the crop.

If you are approaching the festival from York or Rawcliffe Bar Park & Ride you will have to approach it by foot or bicycle along Shipton Road and NOT the N65 cycle track.
