The next work party is Thursday August 22^nd  from 7 to 9 p.m and we’ll be bashing Himalayan balsam in the Flood Basin (below allotments), probably either side of Blue Beck. People are welcome to join in anytime in that window, or even outside of it…Probably need gloves and maybe even wellies with the long grass.

As a part of Higher Level Stewardship we have an obligation to prevent the spread of invasive non-native species such as Himalayan balsam, along with injurious weeds. So whilst it’s pretty, pretty smelly and attractive to pollinators, we need it under control.
