The Vale of York Conservation Volunteers Working on Rawcliffe Meadows Pond Compound 30 – 31 October 2013

The Vale of York group of The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) will be working on Rawcliffe Meadows within and around the Pond compound at the southern end of the site on Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 October 2013 helping to cut down the vegetation and coppice the shrubs. This is an annual task that the TCV do for us bringing down the vegetation and trees around the pond to stop it smothering the tansy plants we have growing there. The tansy beetles will now have all disappeared below ground so it’s all clear for it all being cleared.
