We are running a series of training events in 2014 to introduce the survey methods and get people started.
All training session are for adults and are suitable for beginner to intermediate levels.
Sun 27th July – Identifying and surveying wetland plants (incl. Tubular Water-Dropwort) – Rawcliffe – led by Naomi Ewald
Sun 3rd August – Identifying and surveying adult dragonflies – Strensall Common – led by Naomi Ewald and Keith Gittens
Sat 9th August – Identifying and surveying aquatic invertebrates – Rawcliffe – led by Naomi Ewald and Martin Hammond
Sun 17th August – Identifying and surveying protected plant and invertebrate species – Strensall Common – led by Naomi Ewald
Sat 23rd August – Recording Environmental Variables and entering data online – venue tbc – led by Naomi Ewald
March 2015 – Identifying and surveying amphibians – date and venue to be confirmed
Training is free, with the assumption that participants will undertake PondNet surveys. The dates are fixed – but venues and course leaders may change from those listed above.
