Friends of Rawcliffe Meadows Work Party Dates from Sept 2014 to Dec 2014

As the nights draw in we have to focus our efforts on Sunday mornings from 10:30 onward (until about 13:00).

Any help is gratefully appreciated in maintaining this Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and assisting the survival of its species, landscapes and biodiversity.

The draft dates and tasks are as follows:

Month Sunday Task
September 2014 21st Roll out hay bales in Cornfield reserve

 

October 2014 19th Tansy planting on three prepared areas at north of site

 

Cowslip plating in Copse Meadow

November 2014 16th Cut and rake tansy plants in New Meadow and along Blue Beck

 

December 2014 7th Clear competing vegetation around gorse on Cornfield boundary

 

In addition Pull reed mace from MMB scrape
In addition Clear hedge line along New Meadow southern boundary and plant up gaps
