The next Friends of Rawcliffe Meadows Work Party is on Sunday 7th December 2014 from 10:30 until 13:00 by the Cornfield Reserve (northern end of site, by the hard standing at the end of the allotments track where the gate saying “No Access” is – any queries of how to get there, let us know).  We’ll be adding to and weeding around the gorse in the existing planting at the boundary with the Country Park, and after that, depending upon numbers, move to the New Meadow to interplant hawthorn and hazel in the hedge at the boundary with Blue Beck Copse. Bring a small spade if you can, and gloves – gorse is very prickly!

Volunteers welcome for all or part of that period. Please look for the A board.

A great job was done in November and the site should look at treat in Spring 2015.
