Thanks for all last month’s help – two Barn Owl nest boxes erected, and half the Water Vole scrape reeds cleared, along with a lot of flood debris being moved!
Subject to flooding and ground conditions the plan is to use the scrub cutter and hand tools to plant some additional tansy along Blue Beck (either side of the Barrier Bank). The planting done over the last couple of years has seen a small number of Tansy Beetles, but nothing like the original population. If we have sufficient help we’ll also make a start on the flood debris in that area.
Wellies probably advisory due to damp and sticky nature of land, spade might be helpful.
Nearest access probably the Allotments path.
