The next Friends of Rawcliffe Meadows Work Party is on Sunday 6th April 2014 from 10:30 at the New Meadow towards the north of the site. We’ll be finishing off clearing the brash from the trees overlooking the New Meadow and moving it over to the bramble pile. The tansy plants are through so we’ll have to tread carefully. The trees were coppiced to get more light to the plants and beetles and hopefully expand the number of tansy plants in the process. With a bit of luck we may see some beetles too!
Volunteers welcome for all or part of that period. Please look out for the A board to see where we are.
So, if you’d like to help manage one of England’s newest Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) along with being the first to achieve the criteria for its invertebrates, please come and help!
